DESCRIPTION:  \nInauguration ceremony of Rehman Shukr Centre of Excellence (RSCE) was held at COTTAGE Institute of Technology Jawa Campus on 15th November 25. Lt Gen Nigar Johar Khan\, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) honoured the ceremony as the chief guest. She appreciated the noble cause of education and skill development being supported by the Trust. She also highlighted the personal qualities of head and heart of Maj Gen Abeera Choudry and Professor Dr Irfan Shukr\, who had undertaken this gigantic task of developing RSCE.\nChairman COTTAGE Trust\, Air Marshal Athar Bukhari\, while welcoming the guests highlighted the vision and objectives of the Trust. He emphasised the importance of collaboration in undertaking philanthropic work. Maj Gen Dr Abeera Choudry\, during her address\, paid tribute to the dynamism\, wisdom and compassion of Rehman Shukr.  She highlighted that setting up of RSCE was a way of maintaining his legacy of love for Pakistan and passion for others. Professor Dr Irfan Shukr while speaking to the audience shared the long-term commitment of Rehman’s parents to supporting the cause of expanding literacy and imparting skills to as many deserving individuals as possible.\nRehman’s teacher\, Mr Bashir Abbasi and friend Mr Ali Shehryar shared their memories of Rehman Shukr highlighting his sterling qualities. General Hasnat Amir warmed up the hearts of the participants by highlighting the importance of charity\, reminding of Allah’s promise of exponential return for what is spent in His way.\nThe ceremony was interspersed with heart-warming and lovely performances by students of Tech School and College System (TSACS). The ceremony ended with unveiling of Plaque by Mrs Safia Choudry and cutting of the ribbon by Lt Gen Nigar Johar Khan. The ceremony was followed by light refreshments.
